After the heavy amount of snow days, K-8 Mentoring will still maintain the requirement of four outings with the kids for every nine weeks, according to sponsor Robin Pletcher.

“The mentors have been (at the school) a lot. It has been hard getting back into the routine,” Pletcher said.

Mentor and senior Carly Sieber plans on completing the required outings within the month. “I like to take (the kids) to get ice cream. One of my kids likes to play video games, because he said it was fine if we play video games,” Sieber said.

During this time, Pletcher has also been conducting interview sessions in order to select the mentors for next year. She usually has the interviews during the time when the mentors are out and during lunch periods. According to Pletcher, the deadline for the application to be a mentor is February 2 and is set by the counseling department.
