Speech team will have its first tournament at Carmel High School on Saturday, Nov. 20. It is an open tournament so students wishing to view the event may come without purchasing a ticket. The team will be performing in four rounds from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in hour and a half increments. Any student wishing to attend the tournament may do so freely.

According to club sponsor John Love, students still wishing to participate in the competition need to see him in order to arrange times for practice and to fill out the necessary forms.“You may have many questions that still need to be answered. That is why I am here.  Please come see me before or after school if you need something,” Love said.

Sarah Swiezy, veteran speech team member and Junior, says she has enjoyed participating in speech meets since she was on her middle school team. “I really enjoy competing in tournaments and meets.
