Invisible Children gets new sponsor, raises and saves money

Due to former sponsor Alicia Noneman’s maternity leave, Invisible Children has switched sponsors but is continuing to raise funds as before.

“Mrs. Noneman’s pregnancy schedule kinda threw us off,” Lauren Singleton, club member and junior, said. “Since we weren’t able to turn in the Schools for Schools money, we can use it for other things.” According to Singleton, this was also the reason many meetings were cancelled near the end of last semester.

The new sponsor, Angela Egger Enzmann said she has been having little difficulty taking over Noneman’s position.

“I started going to meetings at the beginning of the year and I got to meet the kids, so we should transition smoothly,” Egger Enzmann said. “We will miss (Noneman’s) expertise though.”

Singleton said the club should expect t-shirts soon as well as a screening of a short film.

“We’re gonna spend the rest of the year raising and saving money,” Singleton said.
