The National Honors Society has taken the spotlight with the current carnation sales.

The carnations are being sold in between Freshman and Greyhound, as well as in Main Cafeteria. The sales began yesterday, and the CHS morning announcements introduced them today.

However when asked about her role in all this Mrs. Michelle Satchwell head sponsor of the National Honors Society, claims that she herself has a very small role in the carnation sale, and other events the NHS participates in.

“ I am the sponsor of NHS. It really is run by the NHS students and members, under the direction of their officers.

While the carnations are the main event, going on in the NHS landscape, Satchwell admits that other events are going on as well.

“ This is the main activity right this minute.” Satchwell said. However they are also members of the Carmel Education Foundation Telethon.

One thing for juniors to look forward to is their induction into the NHS. The deadline to turn in the application for juniors is March ⁴.
