Gay-Straight Alliance begins to plan for the next school year

According to club sponsor Jeremy Horner, the Gay-Straight Alliance has concluded most of its activities for the year and is making preprations for the next school year, which will be discussed at the meeting this Thursday. Horner said officer elections will take place two weeks from next Thusday, and there will be a party event at the end of the year with the date yet to be announced.

“We will meet again (Thursday after school) this week, where we’ll be wrapping up for the year,” Horner said. “We’ll be planning for next year – next fall in particular. We already have some ideas, but nothing is set in stone yet. The club members are still brainstorming, and we will talk about it at the next meeting.”

According to Horner, since the Gay-Straight Alliance was unable to schedule for a guest speaker to come in this year, the club is planning to move the event to next fall.

Gay-Straight Alliance is in essence a forum group in which members can discuss recent news and social norms.

“The Gay-Straight Alliance promotes and markets a safe environment for people who have different sexual orientations. People should join, because it’s for a really good cause,” Gracie “Grace” Woerner, club president and junior, said. By Tony Tan <[email protected]>
