Junior Class officers seek originality in prom plans

The Junior Class officers met on Jan. 31 from 3:30 to 4 p.m., according to Junior Class sponsor John Love. The officers discussed possible themes and after-prom plans, according to Junior Class treasurer Julian Batts.

“We’re still in the process of deciding on theme, because we want to do something that obviously hasn’t already been done,” Batts said via e-mail. Previous ideas include Night in Paris, Under the Sea and Oscar’s Red Carpet, according to Batts.

As for the post-prom schedule, Batts said ideas are still up in the air.

“We’re still deciding if we want to stay traditional with after-prom plans or change things up a bit,” Batts said.

According to Love, traveling to the bowling alley across the street from the Fountains, where prom will be held this year, is the typical plan after the dance is over.

“The reason post-prom is at the bowling alley is because it’s close,” Love said. By Adele Zhou
