Carmel Dads’ Club’s (CDC) fall soccer season is scheduled to end later in October, according to CDC President Jack Beery. Though registration has not yet opened, the next spring season of soccer will begin in April, with practices at Badger Park, 5459 E. Main St.
According to freshman Gabby Paolucci, athletes have been looking for new ways to stay in shape as the current soccer season draws to a close.
“I’m planning to practice out of the season,” Paolucci said. “That way, I can stay in shape and get better for next season.”
Like Paolucci, Beery said he believes athletes should continue to stay active even after their seasons are over. Beery also said he recommends that athletes choose a new sport to compete in after their previous season ends.
“The Dads’ Club recommends you play several different sports,” Beery said. “We think it’s really good that different muscles get used in different sports, so we suggest athletes just go into the next season of sports after their previous one.”
Paolucci says she is not planning to take on a new sport next season but hopes to continue to improve her soccer skills for the next season of soccer.
“I’m planning to either get a group of friends to go and practice with me or just practice in my backyard,” Paolucci said. “I want to be prepared when next season starts.”
