According to House sponsor Sarah Wolff there are two major events coming up. There will be a movie night on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the freshman cafeteria.

“We’re going to be watching a movie, and during intermission, we’re going to break the world record for the world’s largest knock out game,” Wolff said. “If you win, you win movie tickets as a prize. For $3 you get to watch Space Jam and you get a bag of candy.”

Additionally, House will host a community garage sale on Nov. 23 and 24 in the freshman cafeteria.

“House members donate unwanted items and sell them for charity. Students can donate and come buy items or have someone come that likes to garage sales and get points for the event.”

Speaker of the House Leo Biette said the money will go to Riley Children’s Hospital.

“All the proceeds and donations go towards Dance Marathon which is great because it’s a fun event and we’re raising money for charity,” Biette said.

Wolff said a lot of planning has gone into these two events.

“It’s for charity, for a good cause, and that’s what we’re about,” Wolff said. “Helping other people and having a good time.”
