Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) will host its intramural basketball tournament, March Madness Kickoff, on March 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Registration is $20, and the registration deadline is March 12. CHS students may obtain the sign-up forms in the Activities Office, according to Leah Zukerman, vice president of current activities and junior.

“The event will be in the Carmel High School fieldhouse, and we’ll hopefully take around 30 teams,” Joseph Philleo, CMYC member and sophomore said. “So far, I think this is definitely a tournament to look forward to.”

According to Zukerman, all proceeds will go to the Special Olympics of Hamilton County.

“I hope we get the word out about this event , and I hope a lot of people come out to support this cause,” Zukerman said. “We’ve worked hard on planning so far and know this is an event you don’t want to miss.”
