According to sponsor Robin Pletcher, K-8 Mentoring is about to finish the process of selecting next year’s mentors for the program. The requirements for the mentors can be found on page 18 in the Program of Studies. After finishing the final interviews, Pletcher will make her decisions on who the new mentors were going to be.

Mentor and senior Cynthia Ziwawo underwent the entire process to become a mentor. The process involved an application and an interview with Pletcher. Ziwawo said the due to having Pletcher as a teacher, she had already known about the program.

“(K-8 Mentoring) seemed like something that I wanted to be a part of because I love being with kids,” Ziwawo said, “I had a mentor when I was younger and we had a really good relationship so I wanted to have a good relationship with another kid as well.”
