Indian Student Alliance (ISA) veteran members are meeting today at the Carmel Clay Public Library. The purpose of the meeting is to formulate specific goals for the club to follow this school year. Veteran members include Aryaman Gupta, ISA club president and senior, senior Mariam Bari and junior Alina Husain.
“As some of our biggest problems from the previous years was not exactly knowing what we were doing, we’re trying to change that and make it a very goal orientated club,” Gupta said.
ISA Sponsor and teacher Paige Wehr informed Gupta she would only continue the club if they made some goals. Currently, the goals include a return to sponsoring a child in India and connecting with groups like Ekal Vidyalaya, a nonprofit organization attempting to educate children in India.
“We’re having that meeting very soon and then we’ll work forward from there.”
