The CHS media center opened up for SRT on Aug. 17 with some changes to the SRT pass. Media department chairperson Bonnie Grimble said that one major change is that students must get their passes sign by both the SRT teacher and the teacher assigning the project.
“Last year, students could just fill out this form and get the teacher to initial it,” Grimble said. “This year, we are emphasizing that teachers must sign the form. We prefer for the teachers to fill out the form too.”
Other changes include that the SRT pass is now limited to one per student and that students must designate which session or sessions they will be spending in the media center.
“(All of these) changes are really just for clarification purposes,” Grimble said.
For the most part, Grimble said that there are no major changes and that everything would work pretty much like last year. Instructions on the exact procedure for signing in and out of the media center are outlined on the back of each SRT pass.
“We just want to make sure that (students) sign in and out properly,” Grimble said. “It is critical that they have a pass.” By Min Qiao <[email protected]>
