The Creative Writing Club will be having its next meeting on December 5th in room E131 after school. They will be doing a writing prompt and an activity that is yet to be determined.
Last meeting was on Nov. 14th. The club did a writing prompt and an activity corresponding to it. Club member Kierstyn Hubbard has been quoted on her love for the club’s atmosphere and purpose. This has also been backed up by club sponsor Danielle Jansen. Jansen said, “The club provides an atmosphere where students of lots of different groups, and backgrounds can share their love of writing and do so in a comfortable setting that is fun and student lead.”
Though there are no major upcoming events besides the upcoming meeting on Dec. 5th, Hubbard feels that dualness is not common, “There are always fun planned activities each time, I really love it. It is not like other clubs where I have experienced disorganization or just busy work. It is very engaging all the time.” Hubbard has also expressed how the club has helped her grow socially and as a writer,
“This club has let my voice be heard, but also has allowed me to listen to other people’s amazing work as well. Everyone in the club is super nice and accepting, so it always feels nice to meet with friendly faces.”
