After winning the Sectional title, the women’s volleyball team will participate in Regional play on Oct. 31 at Center Grove. The team defeated Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern to capture the Sectional title. Varsity head coach William Bastin said the team was successful in Sectional play because it stayed focused on the task at hand and did not overlook anyone.
Maggie Harbison, three-year starter and senior, said she is very excited the team will advance after winning Sectional. She added that the team is trying to ride the momentum of winning Sectional to a Regional title.
Bastin said, “I am extremely proud of their development over the course of the season, and I look forward to continuing to watch the team grow and improve.”
Bastin said, “Thanks to those students and individuals that came out and supported the team over the course of the year and at the sectionals. It would be wonderful to fill the stands with a great Hound Pound to cheer on the Lady Hounds to another Regional title on Saturday.”
If the team continues to win, Semistate will take place at Yorktown on Nov. 7, and State will take place at Ball State on the same day. By Reuben Warshawsky <[email protected]>
