Science Olympiad to have tryouts this month

Science Olympiad, sponsored by Fran Rushing, is scheduled to continue meeting on Wednesdays throughout the year. Members of the club are dividing into small groups this month.

There are a wide variety of different events, some of which involve studying and others requiring something to be constructed.

Terry Ming, second year member and sophomore, hopes to be a part of the physical sciences team.

“Hopefully Carmel’s team will get much stronger in building; we are doing well with the study events,” Ming said.

Although there are no events until mid-February, the members have a lot to do since only 15 of the 72 members will compete against other Indiana students. By Keeli Curtis <[email protected]>
