This school’s annual Brain Game tournament, sponsored by the Senate, is currently under way and will continue until the end of March, when two remaining teams, composed of four players from undefeated SRTs face off in the final match before Spring Break which will be aired on CHTV during sixth period.
Student body president Steven Brisley said he is pleased with the way Brain Game has progressed this year.
“It’s a fun, friendly competition between SRTs,” he said, “and I’m glad we can bring it to the school ever year.”
According to Senate sponsor Michelle Foutz, the Senate, which spent all of the first semester of the school year conducting back-to-back fundraisers and canned food drives , as well as cooperating with House to host another successful Dance Marathon, has slowed down its pace and is spending this semester making school contributions in quieter ways.
“We have Brain Game and March Madness,” Foutz said, “but we spend a lot of time after March doing smaller things, like appreciation weeks to recognize teachers, custodians and cafeteria workers throughout the semester as well.” By Beverly Jenkins <[email protected]>
