The Swing Dance Club is preparing for the public dance on April 16, which is open to everyone.

Mrs. Angelicka Becker, club sponsor, said, “The club officers are getting ready to get t-shirts ordered. There will be another lesson for non-member on Monday, April 12, the Monday prior to the dance for all staff members and students who want to come to the dance on Friday, April 16.”

Rhiannon Miller, junior and club member, said the club members have been doing well learning swing dance.

Becker said, “We are reviewing steps as well as learning new things. We had a guest instructor Phillip, from Butler here a few weeks ago, who taught the member the secrets behind leading.”

The meeting location has been changed to the freshman cafeteria.

Becker said, “Yes, we are meeting in the Main Cafeteria from now until the end of the year. The musical is practicing in E156 and we had to find a new location. And as always, everyone is welcome to join, even at this late date. Swing dancing is a lot of fun.” By Blaine Herbst <[email protected]>
