After a 1-1 start to the season, the baseball team seeks to rebound against Warren Central on March 31. The team will host the double-header against Warren Central at Hartman Field here at CHS. The first game begins at 5 p.m.
Head Coach Eric Lentz said, “It will be a tough double-header against Warren Central. We cannot overlook any Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference opponent.”
Conrad Gregor, baseball team captain and senior, said, “We need to continue to improve every game. I stress that to the underclassmen, so that we can play our best at the end of the season.”
Senior Robert Shea will pitch the first game of the double-header, and senior Bryan Larson will pitch the second game.
The team suffered a loss on March 30 to Westfield after opening the season with a win over Hamilton Heights. Junior and pitcher Scott Thompson recorded the 4-2 win over Hamilton Heights, while junior and pitcher Eugene Bowen recorded the 5-0 loss to Westfield.
The team hosts Hamilton Southeastern on April 12 and Pike on April 14. By Reuben Warshawsky <[email protected]>
