Best Buddies is scheduled to participate in Best Buddies Indiana’s Friendship Walk, according to sponsor Risa May. The event will be held on April 25 at the White River State Park Canal, which is located at 650 W. Washington St. in Indianapolis. Registration will be from 7:30 to 8:30 am.

Those interested in participating in this event should register first at the Best Buddies Indiana Web site and join Carmel’s team. Registration costs $15.

Also, Best Buddies is scheduled to have its monthly meeting on April 20, according to May. After this dance, Best Buddies is not scheduled to hold any more events, although May said the club may still do a tailgate like last year.

“Last year we did a cookout before a baseball game, so (we may do) something like that, but nothing is on the calendar yet,” May said.

Lindsey Walker, a new member of Best Buddies, said she is looking forward to the friendship walk.

“I heard from some of my upperclassmen friends that the walk was their favorite event of the year. I’m encouraging all of my friends to attend too, since it’s for a great cause. I’m going to have a great time and so much fun,” Walker said. By Tony Tan <[email protected]>
