CCPR opening water park May 29

The Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation (CCPR) is scheduled to open their water park on May 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Once the water park opens, the CCPR is also planning Splashtacular starting on May 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Splashtacular is an event that allows all age groups to come and take part in several activities. There will be water balloon tosses, a chance to build a cardboard boat and race it, and lastly, a cannon ball contest. The fee is the general admission into the water park and costs $5 for children and $8 for adults.

Marketing manger for the CCPR, Lindsay Labas said that several events during the summer are geared for teenagers as well as all other age groups. For example, Classic Movie Series and Family Campout are two events that focus more on the interests of students. Along with these events, Labas believes that the CCPR has a lot to offer regarding the upcoming summer season.

“The best part about participating in a summer event is interacting with the community and seeing all that the Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation has to offer,” she said. By Audrey Bailey <[email protected]>
