The baseball team is currently on a four-game winning streak heading into its upcoming game versus Anderson Highland on May 12. The game will begin at 5 p.m. at Hartman Field here at CHS.

Head Coach Eric Lentz said, “It will be a tough game against Anderson Highland. We cannot overlook any team on our schedule.”

The team’s record is now 11-7 overall and 6-4 in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference. The team recently defeated Center Grove twice and Avon once in the past week.

Pitcher and junior Scott Thompson said regarding the team’s victories over Center Grove, “The playing conditions were awful, especially the pitching mound. However, fortunately we were able to win both games.”

The team hosts Terra Haute North in a doubleheader on May 15. The team hosts West Lafayette on May 17. Sectional play begins on May 27. By Reuben Warshawsky <[email protected]>
