Best Buddies to have matching party on Sept. 28

On Sept. 28, Best Buddies will be having a matching party consisting of a soccer game between the students and a tailgate before the game.

The party is held so that special-ed buddies and the general-ed buddies can meet who they will be partnered up with for the year.

Before any of the meetings, the general ed buddies go through mandatory sensitivity training. The training and the meetings are run by the officer board, which includes president Alexia Ohnemus and vice president Theresa Spall. Both Ohnemus and Spall are seniors.

“The officer board does most of the planning and organizing of the meetings and events. I oversee and make sure the students are following the school rules,” club co-sponsor Jana Cosler said.

The meetings will be held once a month during SRT in the main cafeteria. By Audrey Courter <[email protected]>
