Orchestras to perform in fall concert Oct. 18

On Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. all students in orchestra will perform at their fall concert in the auditorium. The cost of admission is $5.

Orchestra director Rachel Tookolo said she looks forward to the opening performance and the rest of the school year.

“We’re trying to be more ambitious this year,” Tookolo said. “We always want to push the envelope and go to the next level. Our orchestras can do anything.”

Ivy Yan, secretary of the orchestra council, member of camerata and senior, said the orchestras are busily preparing for the concert.

“We’re playing a full symphony this year,” Yan said. “The directors raise the bar every year. It will be interesting to see how our endurance and rhythmic concentration improves.” By Tracy Sun <[email protected]>
