Chess Club is still accepting orders for its official club T-shirt, according to Rostam Razban, head of sales and senior. The orders were initially due on Jan. 17, but because the club only received a few orders by that date, it is extending its deadline.
“We’ve only gotten about ten orders so far, so we’re holding out until we get more,” Razban said.
The new deadline for orders is undecided. Any member or non-member of the Chess Club may order a shirt for $12 each.
Chess Club T-shirts are available in both black and white. The front of the shirt has a design with two C’s, standing for Chess Club. Senior Olivia Lee designed the back of the shirt.
“The back design is a picture of a big guy crushing a small person. It’s pretty cool,” Razban said.
The set price of the shirts is $12, but officers are willing to lower the price to attract more customers.
“We can go to $8 or $10 if people really want it that badly,” Razban said.
The club will only accept cash payments, and students can turn their money in to Razban.
The Chess Club meets every Monday after school, according to Margaret Winans, club sponsor and business teacher. The meetings take place in Room F104 and end whenever students want to leave. Students who want to improve their skills in chess are encouraged to attend. By Aruni Ranaweera

Great news that chess club shirt sales extended and the t-shirts are
available in both black and white color. I can’t resist myself to purchase them.
