Invisible Children is planning an art show that will consist of multiple student-submitted paintings, sketches, photographs and sculptures with the children in Uganda as the subject matter.
“We’re hoping we can host it at the SoHo cafe in early December,” said Anna Chritine Sands, club president and senior.
The club is also planning party to celebrate legislation passed by president Barack Obama that would send troops to Uganda to stop the rebel group Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).
“We’re having a party to celebrate the news,” Sands said.
Invisible Children members said they are excited for the upcoming art show and party. The dates of both events are not yet decided.
