CMYC to host 3v3 basketball tournament for Special Olympics of Hamilton County March 27

IMG_0025Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) will host the 3v3 basketball tournament for the Special Olympics of Hamilton County on March 27. According to Leah Zukerman, CMYC vice president of expansion and senior, applications for teams are available in the activities office and will be due on March 24. Sign ups are limited to 32 teams and will be first come first serve.

“Our hope is that the event is as successful as last year in terms of participation and we raise awareness for Special Olympics of Hamilton County,” Zukerman said.

Another thing the club is working on is 2015-2016 CMYC applications, according to Natasha Crasta, CMYC event director and senior. They will be available in late March on cmycouncil.com and will be due on April 24.

“We want next year’s council members to be a dedicated individuals who will be ready to help spur the sense of civic duty in our community,” Crasta said.
