After posting consecutive wins over North Central and Noblesville, the women’s volleyball team aims to continue its success in the Greenfield-Central Invitational on Sept. 26. Matches will take place at 810 N. Broadway, Greenfield, IN 46140 and begin at 9 a.m.
Potential opponents include Greenfield-Central, Franklin, Franklin County, Mt. Vernon, Bloomington South, Lebanon, Batesville and Whiteland.
Maggie Harbison, three-year starter and senior, said, “We feel as if we have a great shot at winning this tournament. Any student support that we get will give us a boost.”
The team beat North Central in four sets on Sept. 22 and Noblesville in four sets on Sept. 23. Varsity assistant coach Allyson Spuller said, “This week really gave the kids the confidence builder they needed. We are excited because things are starting to click. Against North Central the girls played good. We passed the ball really well. We just had some trouble blocking. A win against Noblesville is always good.”
On Sept. 29, the team will travel to Cathedral. By Reuben Warshawsky <[email protected]>
