The Senior Class officers are planning to help the Junior Class with the next upcoming event: prom. According to Senior Class secretary Hannah Nist, the Senior Class officer’s role is to assist the juniors in any way.
“The Junior Class are the ones that do the majority of the work. We can just help them if they need it and provide input,” Nist said.
Despite prom being the next event, the officers have yet to start preparing. However, according to Nist, the Senior Class as a whole is active.
“We are currently getting really excited about what lies ahead for us all in terms of where we will end up next and investing all we can at the moment here,” Nist said. “For class officers, that is our main goal.”
Senior Class sponsor Joe Steele said, “We are proud and excited for the officers as they finish up their last semester. They have carried a lot of responsibility, so us sponsors can’t wait to see the end result.”
“Prom is a once in a lifetime event–unique to high school and something you can’t get back,” Nist said. “It’s what you make it and I would encourage everyone to give it a try at least one time. I, for one, wouldn’t miss it.” By Leah Tan
