Intramurals plans to have its fifth night of basketball on Feb. 20. According to Intramurals head sponsor Kyle Cluver, the fourth night of intramurals has finished and the teams now look forward to the fifth night and eventually playoffs. Cluver has not confirmed the date for playoffs, however, he said it will take place around spring break.
When comparing this season to past seasons, Cluver said, “We’re just getting into the full swing of things. We’ve had a lot of turnout, (but) some teams aren’t showing up because it’s been a little crazy (working) with a different schedule because of the whole incident in the fieldhouse. A lot of teams are still showing up and still having a lot of fun so it’s going pretty well so far.”
Graham Hatfield, Intramurals member senior, said that he enjoys the opportunity to play and looks forward to the remainder of the intramural basketball season.
Hatfield said, “I love playing basketball and I love being around my friends so it just is two birds with one stone: playing the sport I love and being around my friends.”
