The goal of Greyhound Connections is to help new students become better acclimated to our school. In order to achieve this goal this semester Greyhound Connections club members will be emphasizing the importance of participating in Dance Marathon.
Sponsor Joe Stuelpe asked for all questions regarding this topic be directed to the president and vice president. Elaine Lynch, vice president and junior, said all of the club members visited their new students to hand out packets and to tell them about the event.
“We also told them that they could be in one of the Greyhound Connections groups if they had no one else to be with,” Lynch said.
Lynch said Dance Marathon is a great way to become involved in school activities. In addition to promoting Dance Marathon, Lynch said they will also promote some of the other Dance Marathon events like the Qdoba and Max & Erma’s fundraising nights.
Overall, Lynch said she has enjoyed her time with Greyhound Connections. “It is a really fun group of people,” Lynch said. “It is also fun to be the first face that the new students see from Carmel High School. I really feel like am able to help new students out a lot.”By Ellie Seta <[email protected]>
