February is Black History Month, the month dedicated to celebrate the achievements of African American people.
LifeLines will also be celebrating Black History Month.
“A lot of people seem to think that LifeLines is exclusively for things such as drunk driving and not making irresponsible decisions, but it’s actually more than that,” LifeLines president and senior Austin Rader said.
Black History Month will also be part of events for other clubs, too. These clubs will be working with LifeLines over the course of the month.
“We’ll be working in coordination with Global Giving,” LifeLines sponsor Rebekah Overbey said.
For the purpose of Black History Month, videos relating to the achievements of African Americans will be aired on the announcements, such as episodes of the Cosby Show. More videos will be shown through the duration of the months after and during the announcements. By Shayan Ahmad <[email protected]>
