Greyhound Connections acceptance letters to be distributed soon

After receiving a record-high number of applications, the selection process has officially begun for the Greyhound Connections members of the 2010-2011 school year.

Sponsor Joe Stuelpe said letters will be delivered to every applicant, regardless of whether or not that person was accepted. He said he hopes the letters will be delivered to SRT classrooms before the end of the grading period, but an official date has not yet been selected.

Students who are selected to be members of the club will also be placed in the Greyhound Connections SRT for next year. The number of new members who will be accepted is unknown, but will be limited due to space in the SRT room.

Lanie Lynch, Greyhound Connections vice president and junior, said she is not sure how many total applications the club received but it is much higher than in past years.

“The selection process is competitive even for current members because we must reapply as well,” Lynch said.

Overall Lynch said she has high hopes for next year and is excited for the new members. By Ellie Seta <[email protected]>
