As the end of the school year approaches, K-8 mentoring class is deciding what to do to commemorate the year.
According to Robin Pletcher, instructor of the K-8 mentoring class, “(We are planning on) having some kind of end of the year celebration, just kind of pulling things together and celebrating all the accomplishments they’ve had with their kids.”
Meanwhile, mentors like senior Sarah Bennett are still going on outings with their kids.
“The more you go on outings with the same kid, the more you get to see their personality outside of school; so it’s fun to figure out what stuff they like to do and take them to do some of their more favorite things,” Bennet said. “Some of my kids really just like going out to eat, hanging out. Other kids like going to movies or something more active like going to a park and so it just depends on which kid it is.”
