The call-out meeting for Economics Club will be held sometime before Oct. 15, according to Michelle Foutz, Economics Club sponsor and economics teacher.
“By October 15, I’ve got to have a roster for the yearbook picture. So I know that I have to have a call-out meeting before then,” Foutz said.

During the freshman activities fair, Foutz said she had several representatives from Economics Club to introduce the freshmen to the club.
“It’s been getting freshmen involved that’s been a positive thing in the last couple years,” she said.
Michael Wang, member of last year’s Economics Club team and junior, said he “will try to focus more on studying terms and more difficult economic concepts.”
Wang said he hopes the team can make it to New York, the location of the national competition.
Foutz said, “Our goal is always to try to make it to nationals…It’s an accomplishment just to make it there.”
