Media center plans for end of school year

The media center will close for the summer on May 27 and will not open again until August 10 of next school year.

According to media manager Francie Sands, all media center books are due by May 14 and no materials can be checked out after that date.

The media center will also review its collection in order to discard old books and will have a book giveaway on May 24. The book giveaway will take place at both entrances to the media center.

Sands said, “It’s books we will discard from the library that have double copies in order to make room for new books.”

According to Kelsey Campbell, media center student aide and senior, the media center provides a variety of resources and activities outside of books. She said, “Students can study here, and we have computer resources, fiction and nonfiction books and equipment such as cameras.” By Caroline Zhang <[email protected]>
