Big Game, the senior men’s spirit group, will support the CHS football team and the women’s soccer team the weekend of Oct. 28.
Although the group has no themes planned for these two games yet, Charlie Browning, Big Game president and senior, said, “We will be at both of those games.”
Reaching out to the women’s soccer team is a step further in the club’s goal of supporting a wide range of sports teams, according to club sponsor Dale Herr.
“The mission is to provide school spirit at a variety of boys’ and girls’ sporting events,” Herr said. Following their mission, Big Game organized a ‘blue-out’ spirit day for the volleyball team last week, Browning said.
The club also organized attendance to the football Sectional match and the women’s soccer team Semistate game over the weekend of fall break.

Dear Hilite,
Maybe a little off topic, however, During the BCS ERA, SEC football teams have been to 104 bowl games. This equals an average of 8 teams per year going to bowl games. Even more impressive they have been to the big 5 (Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Orange, and National Championship) 21 times, or on average they which is pretty good considering the first BCS National Championship game wasn’t played until January of 2007). Their winning percentage is 76% in the major bowls.
Thx.
